I use a company called AVS auto vent shade-they may not be an exact copy....but they are still in the channel and not stuck on the outside on the window frame

Yea the price is pretty hefty but from what I have heard, it is well worth the money for the quality of product. You can always try eBay or CraigsList to see if you can score a new one or a barely used one. If not, you can go with AVS like Ron suggested. Performace Product has them listed $45.99 for the 4 piece set.

I've got those on my Taco.......really like them a lot. Very sturdy and well built, they were on my truck when I bought it though

yep, just buy the 4-piece set from performance products...that's how i ended up getting them for christmas, and the in-channel ones are 10x better than those stick-on one...imo...

mike,
how are the wind deflectors holding up so far. I think they are pretty much the same as the MacNeil's Weatherflectors, correct? What's your take? The reason I am asking is obviously because of the huge price difference between the two products.

man, so far these things are holding up just fine and perform just like i expected them to. and yes, they indeed appear to be exactly the same (besides the brand-name) as the MacNeil's...so, i would in fact recommend you ordering some of the in-channel ones from performance products if you are wanting some...i'm pretty sure that mine are the EGR brand. one word of advice...whenever you order them, try to order them during the summer months, because i had to let mine lay out in the sun a little while to make them more flexible, due to the fact that you have to bend them somewhat to get them into the window channel...but it's totally worth the price since you'll never have to worry about tape coming loose. but that's my take on it man, and if ya got any more ?'s, just ask.

Sweet, I guess I will order the ones from Performance Products and save myself some bucks. Thanks for the clarification Mike and the advice. I guess I will have to put the oven on a warm setting and put each deflector into the window channel one at a time. I totally agree with you on the whole in-channel versus tape, the in-channel is so much more secure. Thanks again mike.
