Idle speed

What should the Idle engine speed for 2nd Gen. V6's. Mine currently idles at 300 RPM. I mention this because yesterday it stalled on me in a shopping center when I shifted into reverse from park. Started right up again though and was fine the rest of the ride home. I noticed the idle was real low. I thought it should be a little higher but I'm not sure. Thanks.

Here you go Paul.
800 at idle.

Tuneup chart

If you need to short the jumper box if you check the timing.

And here is the idle screw.

Thanks Corey, I thought it was kind of low. Do you ar anyone else know what the process is to increase the idle. Is it easy or difficult? Thanks for the help.

Just turn that screw that is in my 3rd link above.
The 800 is for the automatic, not sure if you have a stick or an auto, but I don't think it would vary much.

I think a stick is usually suppose to be set about 50 to 100 RPM's lower than an auto, which is what that chart is for under my hood.
