Hello

What's going on. I'm new to the site and I just wanted to introduce myself. I currently drive a Honda Civic, but I have to sell it cause I can't afford it anymore. I am going to be getting a 1991 Toyota 4Runner and am very excited to start a new project on it. I was wondering if anyone knows of any performance parts available for the 4Runner. I am also looking for different cosmetics such as clear corners/bumpers, a different style of grill, etc. Thanks.

Was also wondering if there is a difference between the 90-91 front ends and the 92-95.

Welcome to Yotatech. Answers to your questions.

1. Don't expect it to be a racer. The 3.0's are qiut slow but they do have alot of torque. With that in mind you can get a cat-back system and headers.

2. Check out Performance Products in our vendors section for different front end pieces.

3. The front end was redesigned in 92. It included flush headlights, new grill and valance.

Hope all of this helps.

One more thing, when you get one call the dealer, and with your VIN number handy, ask them if your head gasket has been replaced. There is a recall or TSB out on it.

Welcome.

I highly suggest you read through the "Tech" section in this site as well as using the search feature. Every question you can imagine has been covered ad naseum. Then ask follow up questions after you've done your homework!

I graduated from a Honda Civic EX in 1999. It was a big and very welcome change.

Thank you guys for answering. I usually do use the search button, but I figured since I was introducing myself that I would ask some of these questions.

Thanks Paul H. for the info. I will make sure that I check that out.

Welcome!

Talk to Jason B. here on the forum for clears. I got mine a long time ago from Perf Prod. The bumper ones are OK still, but the corners are milky looking. I've had them for a good 4-5 years.

I'll be replacing mine this summer.

Welcome to the forum. I also graduated from a Civic to a Tacoma, and now to a 96 Runner.

The Civic was fun, but I got tired of missing out on the great outdoors!

Now I can haul four people and gear without bouncing off the rev-limiter everywhere. and its still pretty quick.
