grey wire mod oops?? HELP

Tried the grey wire mod today and didn't have any luck.

When I connect one side of the grey wire to a ground the locker works as usual and so I tried the other side and it won't engage at all. Don't know what to do I only saw one grey wire under there. Now I've got it disconnected and am without a locker.

Any suggestions I need help quick, or any one in the houston, tx
area that can take a look?

Post up a picture of what it looks like right now. Make sure it's this one shown below that you cut.

And make sure you connected the wire to the end coming FROM the white harness piece.

so you are sure that when you grounded the wire it would still only engage in 4 lo?

you ground the side coming out of the box

make sure you are using the right stuff to hook up the ground

I noticed you have a 97. I have a 97 as well. I think with some years it was a blue wire with a red stripe.

Yes, according to the indicator light, I'll try and piddle with it some more tomorrow. I am really wondering what i did, cause the wire is cut and disconnected and after a little bit of driving around the locker began working properly (which I don't think should happen if the wire is cut). I am wondering if maybe after I connected it I need to give the computer a few minutes or miles to recognize the change. I hooked it up and immediatly started the motor and checked it, between trials.

I am using the right stuff and connected the ground to the bolt that holds the black box to the firewall.

I think with some years it was a blue wire with a red stripe.
I hope not

it should work as soon as you make the changes, if the light is blinking then it is trying to work, sometimes you have to roll forward or backward a little to get it to engage
