I called the local Toyota Service Department and asked them if they could run my "VIN" through their database and tell me whether or not my 1993 4Runner had the head gasket replaced or not. He called me back about 3 hours later and told me it had been done at another Toyota dealer on February 11, 1999. This was wonderful news to hear. I encourage any of you guys in here that are wondering if yours has been completed to call and find out. Now, on to my 3 modifications!

..... new Bilstein Shocks, new coils, and a new bumper / winch.

 

I probably would have hoped that they didn't work on it yet so that I can get a new engine out of it (for free).

It is good to hear sometimes that you don't have to do something. I did the same thing that you did and got the same good news. Not hard at all to do, but the outcome is great. I was hoping that I didn't have to do the recall!
