Gas Pedal

Hey guys,

So ive had my 98 runner for about a year and a half, and the entire time, Ive had this stupid gas pedal situation. Its not really a problem, but ive had enough of it. When I push down the pedal, i get about 2 inches of slack until I actually feel it engage. its like i push it down the 2 inches of nothing, then i get power once my foot is allready way the heck down. what can i do?

Adjust the freeplay in the cable where the cable is bolted to the motor. Its easy stuff

Not sure about the throttle cable on a 98, but on my 89 P/U it had a rubber cushion on the throttle cable where it hooked into the gas pedal. When that split I had lots of play on the cable.
