Talking Fender-Chop done right...any idea's been there done that?

I have the stock look fenders of an '88 Toy 4Runner. I was going to chop the fenders to get more of an arc look and to get better clearence. Do any of you know a good way to do this. I was looking at Bushwacker cut-out fender flares to clear up my edge but I have 11.50's right now and I like a little tire to stick out. Is there just some universal molding that I can bend around the edge of my fenders to clean it up? Anyone who has done this please help me out with some do's and don'ts Thanks!!
