Diff Drop question

Just wondering why someone hasn't made a bigger diff drop than 1"? I think there is room for 1/2" more and that would maybe allow 3"-3.5" in the front. Just hoping some of the suspension gurus can answer this.

Diff drops dont really do too much. There is another mount for the diff, on the X-member. A 1 inch diff drop really only drops the diff a half inch or so

If you have ADD you can't drop more than an inch because the ADD solenoid will contact the cross member. I've had good results from the diff drop. I'm running TRD Tundra springs + a 1" Top out spacer, long travel OME struts and Camburg arms. 10.5" of wheel travel. The tulip joints are at max angle at full droop.

Thanks. I knew the diff didn't drop the full inch because of the other mount that it rotates on. I did not know that the ADD would hit, just never looked at that. I already have the diff drop and was just asking a hypothetical question. What is the general concensus on the max amount of lift with the diff drop installed?
