Coolant Temp Gauge.

Coolant Temp Gauge.
Help Yotatech. Here is the dilemma:
I bought an Autometer Temperature sensor. I planned on installing it tonight, but found that the temp sender unit on my tacoma doesn't even measure coolant temp, it measures the block temp apparently. The hardware for running the autometer gauge is designed for running the line directly into the side of the block where the sensor can monitor the coolant directly.
Anyone done this mod....help me I'm bumming.
