I'm so frikken close to having this motor all bolted back together but I have one coolant hose I can't find the other end for. There is a coolant T on the pass. side of the block that leaves the water pump. It has two outlets, one outlet goes to the black coolant/heat exchange thing, but the outlet straight off the back is still open.... where does it go?!?!?! ('88 4Runner, 22RE, No rear heater)

OK i think the coolant lines you are talking about are under the intake.
One goes to the bottom of the intake and the other goes to the bottom of the throttle body. I can try and take a pic if you need it.

 

That's the one! My buddy that was helping me wrench on the motor today drove to Toyota to talk with the Service Dept. about the hose. It was the only thing we had left to do before breaking in the engine! But we got it and ran the motor for 30 minutes! It feels great with the new cam.
