Can 285/75/16's fit on a 1999 4Runner?

If so what kind of issues can I expect with the speedometer, rubbing on the fenders, etc?

Your advice would be appreciated.

From what I've heard, read, experienced and seen you need 4-5" of lift to clear 285s without doing quite a bit of other things and not rub like a fat girl wearing corduroy pants.

If you just want them on there to ride around on the pavement, a 2" body lift will do ya.

You will need at least a full 2" of lift to clear 285's.

Is that it? In that case I should get a 1" BL (combined with the 1.75" lift from the PP springs) and run 285's then!

See Schaefer's site. He has done quite a bit of work with his suspension, and you could glean some info from there.
