Brake Fluid Replacement

Hello Everybody,

What is a good interval to replace your brake fluid? My wife and I have a 1999 Tacoma SR5. It is a four wheel drive with the 3.4 liter v6 engine and a 5-speed transmission.

Thanks.

Any time that the fluid has substantially darkened, is the time to change it.

Waiting until it looks dirty is not idea, though I suggest every 2 years. Brake fluid is cheap.
