What are your guys' most effective means of removing rust? My chrome grill guard got a little rusty in spots through the winter.. i was wondering if there are any preferred methods of removing it? Suggested appliances? Or even house-hold items that'll help do the trick? Thanks,,

 

Steel wool and then acetone (nail polish remover) will remove rust. It might take the chrome off too. If so, take a trip to Wal-Mart and get some faux chrome paint to touch it up. You might want to try adding a gloss over the entire grill guard to prevent moisture from getting under the chrome. If you REALLY want to do a number on it, you can soak the spot in some sulfides (not sure what the formulas are), but that's definately not household. Hope this helps.
