Another TPS question

I've done a search, but couldn't find what I was looking for.
There is my question to you: if my TPS on my 91 4Runner V6 is adjusted wrong, what can go wrong with the truck?
I've heard that on the 2nd gen 4RUnners TPS controls A LOT of different things.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The answer to your question is at the bottom of the page referenced in this thread.

You even referenced the link I'm talking about in one of your own threads.

In this one too.

Lesha, I put a new TPS unit on my Tacoma yesterday. It took me 15 minutes at most and I did not have to adjust anything. I think what your referring to as an "adjustment" is just the act of pulling the throttle linkage into the correct position to allow the prongs to match up with the TPS unit. As long you put the new one in the way the old one came out, it should work out fine. I know my taco is running great now!
FYI- anyone needing to buy a TPS sensor: Go to the DEALERSHIP, not autozone, napa, or advance. I got a genuine toyota part for 60 bux rather than 130 or 189 at the retail auto parts stores.
