ok im having this problem everytime i start my engine my whole car/engine is shaking and assuming its a idling problem its very choppy but anywaise for some reason my engine light is currently on but sometimes it starts blinking and its stop what does that mean and what do you guys suggest i should do ive been driving it like that for a while wants i have the engine going problems goes away

 

id suggest having the codes checked and go from there also whens the last time its had a basic tune up ?

 

The blinking CEL,Is telling you you have a missfire going on..

Chances are you have an ignition problem:plugs,wires,coil going out.

Have the codes pulled to point you in the right direction..Then do a search,ignition problems are very common on 5VZ's,but easily fixed.

 

yeah havent really had a basic tune up change the spark plugs and timing belt not to long back but yeah probably

 

I agree with the others. Sounds like a missfire. You need to stop by an Auto Zone, Advanced Auto Parts, or dealership and check the trouble codes from the engine. You may also look over to make sure no spark plug cables or anything else is loose under the hood. When it does have problems, Does it smoke at all, or do you smell anything, such as gas?

 

How far back was the timing belt done? And who did it?
If somewhat recent check the torque on crank bolt.

 

yes i do smell gas so there a misfire ok cool ill get that check out
