Anyone every seen anyone move over an 81/82 grille and round headlights to a 84-89 truck. Can this be done? If so, are there any pics floating around the internet...i think this would look pretty cool

 

Since you are talking round, I assume you mean 79-81 headlights, since they went square in '82. Taking some quick measurements, I'd have to say that if you or anyone else did it, it took a lot of fab work because the width of the grill/headlight section is about 3" different (newer is wider)

that looks sweet! i have heard that the headlight bezels are easy to swap in, DWT on pirate4x4 put round headlights in his '90 project...

 

Hmmmm. I wonder if he had to cut the early grille in half and add some material. Maybe my measurements were wrong.... Guess that's why I'm not in construction. Back to the tape measure!

 

I just picked up a grill today off of a 83. I didnt get the headlight doors since it looked like in the pic that he used his original ones. Mallrat, speak up! We are curious!
