22r carb help.

i have a 22r and i can not get it to idel correct it idels at 1800-2000 untill warm then it will go down to 700-800 but yesturday it started acting funny and now i cant get it to idel down at all it stays about 2000 anybody had simular problems if so please help me. i sprayed carb. cleaner in it and it did nothing

sounds like it was working properly before, though your warm idle sounds a little low(goal is about 850-900RPM). the high idle is the choke -- maybe the choke is sticking? mine will sometimes stick on the high idle until i slap the gas a few times which turns the choke off

thats what i had to do but now it wont un stick except if i do one thing if i am driving kinda slow about 20 or so and put it in 2nd. and slap the gas and make the truck kinda jump and it fixed it one i pushed int he clutch then let out and pushed back in a few minutes later and it went back up. something has got to be sticking

check your return spring on the carb linkage? grab onto the lever that opens the throttle on the carb and pull it back and see if the idle speed drops. if it does, it's probably the spring

could also be a piece of crap in the needle and seat area that is giving you problems, or the needle is sticking, might have to take th ecarb apart and clean it.
