Does anyone know if there was ever a Toyota Factory Recall for the V6 SR-5 4-Runner, specifically regarding the head gaskets and potential failure?

You might consider doing a search on this issue.

There is tons of information to keep you busy for days.

That should answer your question without saying yes or no.
