Quote: Jason, I just read your whole build here at work, please dont tell my boss lol... You have been puting in some long hours and its about to pay off. Your runner is looking great and good luck on the prize at the end..

wow this whole thread umm you must have a really boreing job if this thread was intresting lol. but seriusly thank you for your intrest and the compliments.

well I was able to get a couple coats of paint on the underside of the hood before I ran out of paint, I comented before about underestimating the amount of paint this project was going to take but even after rethinking it Im still coming up short. I will say Im really happy with how the paint is laying down I have forced myself to slow down Im also spending a lot more time degreaseing and cleaning things, it is making a world of differance in the finnal product I still wind up with a few blemishes but its not near as bad.
the driver side fender I have is just not worth putting on Im really let down that Im not going to be able to get the body completely back together but I feel I have made some good progress the past few days and everything is getting a little closer to me being able to get this thing back on the road and enjoy it. thanks for checking in guys.

Well ive been an aircraft mech. for about 30 years now and it is getting boring... lol Today here in florida we have a storm off the coast so we were not flying. But we are now and they are trying to keep me busy.. I work on the T-6a, at N.a.s Pensacola. We train the finest milatary pilots in the world so they say.

It is getting closer to looking like a yellow runner. The small steps take alot longer then the one big step of getting it painted, but doing a color change takes alot of work and will make the results that much better. You will be glad you did take the extra effort when done.

Sup Jason? I sure wish I could visit you out there...(although it would more likely be in a early spring type season, to be honest, hahaha...). Hope you're having a great time, man! PICS!

finished up the hood, painted under the cowl panel becouse you can see thru the alits in the cowl, removed the windsheild trim managed to get that done without breaking any clips our bending it up.

and installed

like I said its gonna be a busey weekend but Im hoping to find a little time, I really want to get the body work done on the hood, pas fender and door and get things in primer. man I wish I had more time to throw at this thing I can really see the end of this stage getting close. thanks guys for checking in.

my rule of thumb is stand the part or hang it etc so that you can paint as much as posable with have to handle it, bout all the advice Ive got for ya buddy.

Its funny with 2 other people have projects that they want done how willing they are to help on mine the wife and the boy both had sanding blocks in there hands it was great family time lol. thanks for checking in.
