Yotalogic's theBrownCow 85 4runner Build-UP

WARING PIC MANIA.
Another Craigslist purchase. Was all green and yellow(sorry didnt get a pic). PO said it looked like the owner before him let some kids go to town with some spray cans. Thats what it looked like to me also. Inside was ROUGH! Floor was sprayed with undercoat! Messed up. Getting rid of that was a pain!

after sanding and Brown primering(top flat black and new grille/croner lights)

rusted floor after removing most "tar"

Jacked up rear homemade bumper junk(most undercoating removed)

No idea what rear axle they stuck underthere

Cut old factory hangers off and welded in the TG piece. Installed the new TG 5" leaf springs.

Bolted up the front axle housing with U-bolt flip kit. Me liky

I drilled and tapped the plate, so I could in/out the front bump stop.

Cut and grinded all the shock mounts and brake line holders. Welded in new hoops and retainers. And installed shocks.

Painted/installed roll bar. Im in here working on my rig(hope i dont mess up my wife's mini cooper hahaha)

Now to cut off all this hooha off the back. What were they thinking???

Next did some different kind of cuttin and welded in the rear shock mounts. Not too bad.

Old axle OUT and new(bearings, seals, disc brake conversion, brake lines, 2" spacers, etc)axle IN. NOW LOOKS LIKE PROGRESS to me.
Oh went with chevy leaf springs and aftermarket mounting stuff in the rear.

Check out those new lugs BLING! Yeahya! hahaha

Longfields ready to go in but couldnt. Turns out the my axles housing was bent! Oh Hell Noooo!!

So Ill just fix it. Snaps see what happens!
First we'll make a cut.

Then time to bend. Hey "dont sweat the technique".

With pressure still on it... Weld it! Then when it cools it will finish pulling it STRAIGHT. (I guess hahaha).

AND walla! Shafts fit with no seal distortion.
With further assembly.

And more assembly.

Switched out the 5/8" master brake cylinder with the V6 1". 4 betta breaking.

Hubs cleaned, painted and gears changed to Longfields.

And put on.

Made some bracket for the front brakelines that bolt on with the caliper bolt(I eliminated the rotor shields).
