Time for some new meat and heart in the 85

Well, I finally done it. After going to a truck rodeo a few months back, I sucked some mud/water/sand/other in through the airbox, which I somehow broke. So I sent my spare motor of to Mill's Motors in shreveport 3 weeks ago, and its ready to be put in. Bought some parts from one of you on here, thanks. And ordered a new clutch, ceramic, a week ago. Last thing to order is a center velocity repair kit from somewhere for the front drive shaft. So far, I have $1050 wrapped up in parts and rebuild. So today I ran across a set of brand new wheel that have never been mounted in 16.5*9.75 with a 4 in back spacing for $200, not bad. And I get to go pick up a set of 37 in tires this weekend for $300 to replace my 8 year old mud brutes. Thats enough for now and I will start putting up pics soon, maybe tonight after I get off work. Oh, and got a roll bar, 3 in pipe, for $40 the other day before coming to the rig.

So after a couple of calls today, the motor is ready to go. The tires are ready for pick up. 37-12.5-16.5 wrangler mt's. Clutch, brakes and other parts are at the house. So all I need is to get home, grab some cold beer and a couple of friends and get started. More this weekend.

For the motor, the tires and wheels, and now getting everything ready to go in. The only thing I am waiting on now is for my brother to get my damn engine hoist back, knowing I needed it a week ago. But his buddy will be back on Friday and I can do the shortblock swap then. I will get some pics up sooner or later. The Tires fit with 7 inches of clearance still. And one of the rear shocks has a (big damn hole) in the side of it where it blew out. Later.

Oh the tires I ended up getting are 36's. They are mud grips, and the 37's were at's.

Good news-Bad news The good news is the tires ride nice and do well in the mud. The engine is running and nothing is leaking, and the test drive went good. The bad news is the front drive shaft needs the centrifical force bearing from NWOR, the rear brakes are leaking, and the carb just will not act rigth for some reason. I will figure out how to get the pictures up in the next week, yea, I keep saying that.
