Max Diesel's 1983 Pickup Build-Up Thread

I'm new to wheeling, and offroad, and I wanted to post my new project "Ole Taco". Any tips, tricks, fixes, I'm all ears!

From what I can gather it is a SR5 model. 22R. 5-speed, 170,000 miles on the clock, slight rear main/front main leak, huge exhaust manifold leak (manifold warped 1/4"), has limited slip rear end, Brakes are great shape, like new 32" tires on aluminum rims, and a huge aux gas tank mounted where the spare tire should be.

Found out the reason it is so clean! It was originally purchased in Palmdale California, then moved to Tampa, Florida, then to Central, IL May of '09. These are all the pictures I have currently. I'm in the process of fixing the exhaust manifold leak, full tune-up, interior restoration, new marker lights, and coating the entire frame; etc with POR-15. Enjoy!

It was originally a light tan color, someone painted it Chevy Orange. Not in too bad of shape.

Some frame shots, very, very clean!!

By the fuel tank!

One more of my dad hauling 16 hay bails!!

Think $1250 was a good price?
