New Sliders/Steps

Hi all....

Happy New Year

Started this project because I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for....the Rocky Road Sliders were awesome, but not quite low enough, and running boards are just too junky, and provide no protection.

Rocky Road was great through the whole thing, very responsive, and they shipped right away. The fininish product is beautiful and accurate, it bolted on with zero issues. Great product and highly recommend them.

So I bought the super slider and welded my own step on. Of course I realize I void any warranty, but I think I made them even stronger. I used 1.5" x 1.5" x .120 square tube. They project out 6.5"...which may seem like a lot, but that's about even with the farthest point of the body sticking out. Very handy for reaching the roof rack now. I used aluminum diamond plate to pick up the same product I used on the ROAM trailer.

Thanks..

The decision to buy the Rocky Road Sliders and add to them was based on time....there was no way I could make the sliders (certainly with the degree of accuracy that they did) and have everything ready to bolt on in 5 days.

I have to admit, I have 200$ in materials just to add the steps, so I'm sure there's at least that in the $400 the Sliders cost, so their putting that together for another 2 bills??!! God Bless em' Hell..it had to take someone an hour just to pack them
