I am selling my 4-runner because I drive 100 miles/day to and from work and at 21 mpg I am spending too much to keep driving her. I use this car as a daily driver and it is very reliable. I bought this vehicle from a friend. He was the second owner and knew the first owner who was a lowes executive and had all the scheduled maintenance done at the dealership. My friend was totally anal about taking care of it. The interior is in excellent condition. Note the condition of the leather. It is in very good condition for a 10 year old car. I let my wife haul the kids for three years in it and when we had number 3 I got her a yukon. I bought it from my friend with around 70K miles. He had the timing belt done @ 60K. She now has 143K and I have the timing belt but haven't replaced it yet. Otherwise I have done all the maintenance and have done everything regularly. I am an engineer and I understand what needs to be done to keep a car running for a long time. She currently has 143K on her I believe this car has a ton of mileage left in it.

Here are the bad things.
1.Scratches on rear pillar. My wife backed into a basketball goal and scratched the pillar. See pictures.
2.Passenger dash vent damage. My dog got in one day and clawed the dash. There are two cracks and the vent control is damaged. See Pictures.
3.Rust around windshield. There is a small amount of rust around the top of the windshield. See pictures.
4.Windshield chip. Two weeks ago a rock flew into my windshield and chipped it. See pictures.

Tires are 265-75-16 Goodyear AT REVOs they are in fair condition.
I am asking $8500.

Post up some pics! I'm in Asheville too and a friend of mine is currently looking at a 99 at a local dealer. Yours sounds like it may be a better deal but I'd like to see it.
