I just picked up a 1986 Toyota 4X4 pick up for $1,100. She has the reliable 22r in her. Currently she is wearing some 33 X 12.5 tires and when I turn sharp they rub. I was just curious what the biggest size tires I could buy that won't rub? Any help would be much appreciated.

31x10.5s but i put 33x10.5s on my 95 and they only rub when off roading.

should I change the gears? Or is stock okay?

 

If you stay with the 33's then yea...you should...Dont ask me which ones, theres tons of searching you have upon this site...

If you go down to 31's, you'll be fine with your stock gears...
