I found 4 34x9.5x15 super samper TSL in awesome condition but they are 20 years old. I want to run this tire and size on my 80 toyota pickup I just bought. This going to be a trail truck only, no street driving. Are these too old for trail use?
Man, 20yrs. Is a long time. I’d be dubious and it would have to be a killer deal.
really inspect inside and out. Looking for dry rot and any damage.
and really would depend on wheeling you do. If you like to do circles in mud puddles not much more than a pain in the ass if you blow a tire.
but if your doing off-camber climbs, mountain trails, or pretty much anything more than mud holes on flat ground. Is deal worth risking rig, limb, or life on a killer tire deal?

Ya I think going to pass, im afraid that they will just crumble on the rocks or harder packed trails.
For trail use only, theyll be fine. Its the street use (read: speed) with old tires that you need to worry about.
Im running 20 years old swampers with tubes in each one because of the dry rot (and some unrelated holes). The dryrot just lets the tire flex better. lol
