Best speedo correction approach for larger tires

Just acquired a '99 4Runner, Base model 2WD 4cyl. Auto. This truck was available with two different stock tire size options...225/75/15 or 265/70/16. Mine has the 15", switching to the larger stock 16". Trying to ascertain the simplest way to achieve correct speedometer reading...larger wheels/tires will show 70mph on speedo but I will actually be going more like 76. My understanding is that if the truck does not have ABS (just bought it, not sure) I might be able to just change the transmission speed sensor to the 16" type. Anyone know definitively if this is true? BTW, it does have the digital odometer...
