1986 TOYOTA 4WD Lifted or No ?

Greetings all

New to the forum. Recently purchased a 1986 4wd Pickup with the 22R motor. My dad drove a 1986 4wd (navy blue) when I was growing up, so I've been experiencing some major nostalgia.

I really like the truck, but it sits a little higher than I'd like. I know the wheel size is not original as it's got 265-75-R16 tires on it. What I'd like to do is find a set of stock 15" wheels to put on. However, I don't know anything about gearing modifications or lifts that may have been done to the thing. Is there an easy way to tell ?

I've got a lot of learning to do. Any guidance/thoughts much appreciated :-)

Wallace

doesn't look lifted to me. you could pull the front wheel and look for a spacer between the upper ball joint and the A Arm

It has a 2WD grill

I like that style of 16" steelie; I run a set of them on my '95 Runner.

No reason you could'nt put some shorter tires on those rims if you want to.

There's a better selection of 16in tires nowadays than there are 15s'.
