16" wheels won't fit my 4runner???
Hey everyone,
I am brand new here. This is officially my first post. I have a couple things I am trying to figure out on my 2003 4runner so hopefully you all can help me out!
First, I currently have 16" stock 4runner rims on my vehicle. I purchased some used aftermarket black 16" american racing wheels to put on and the wheels won't fit on the front...not even close. They have the same bolt pattern and back spacing but it doesn't look like they want to fit around the brakes. I've done some research online and everyone seems to be saying the 4runners that came with the stock 16" wheels have the smallest brake calipers compared the to SE's and any others that come with 17" wheels. Needless to say. I am lost. I'm not worried that the used wheels I have don't fit on there. They only set me back $120 so hopefully I can unload them soon!
Second, what wheels can I fit on there? I really like the newer black FJ trd wheels. I'm always trying to scope these out online and find a good price so if those are an option I'd be all for them.
Third, I put a 2.5" daystar leveling kit on a few weeks back. Any recommendations on tire and wheel size?
Aaaaand very last question...I promise. On the gear shifter in the center, it looks like there is a missing button near the front left. I can kinda push it down but it doesn't really do anything. I just bought the 4runner about two months ago and this was missing on it. I'm trying to figure out what the heck goes there. Anyway, thanks in advance for all your help and input! This is my 5th toyota. After I sold my 2001 tundra I purchased a nissan xterra right before this 4runner...the xterra lasted two months before I had to go back to toyota!
