Put a new motor in my 88 toyota p/u wont idle or rev up
all motor parts are new and engine ran in other pickup
that was with a carb. At a loss as what to do from this point.

 

Have check all conections its running up to 2500 rpm then goes to surging runninh 800-1500 rpm
knocks like a rod is bad, motor is sound pulled out of good running truck with side and frame damage have one wiring coupler black in shape of a tee unable to find in a manual where or what it goes to, timing is about 5* have been changing out parts but its getting costly......Thoughts
