I just bought a 1st gen 4runner with a 302 and AOD transmission. It currently does not have a transfer case. I'm trying to figure out the best setup where I can keep the AOD and get 4x4 working. I think Advanced Adapters might make an adapter from the AOD to Toyota transfer case, but I'm having trouble figuring out which one I need. And what's the procedure to install given that the AOD is a 2wd transmission? Also saw that at least one person went with the D300. How does that work? Is it a divorced t-case kind of deal?

Any advice greatly appreciated.
