Newer Diesel direct bolt in swap?

My dad was tellin me that he was reading about a direct bolt in swap from a newer car. He cant remember where he read it, or even what car it came out of. Has anybody heard of or done this?

direct bolt in swap for what?
But no, there isn't a direct bolt in, a 2L-T can use the motor mounts and transmission from a 22re truck but you'll still need to do some fuel system modifications and other things. The 2L-T gives about as much power as a 22re but with better MPG

Sorry I forgot to say what it was for. Its for my 87 Pickup. I dont think it was a Toyota diesel but it had the same bellhousing and motor mounts. It supposidly comes out of a 2000 somethin car. 2007 I think is what he said.

Look at toyotadiesel.com
As far as I know the 2L-T series motors are as close as a bolt in as there is for a 22re truck.
