what the . . . !!???

hey all you diagnosticians - 3 days ago i purchased my 90 sr5 v6 4door silver. today, i noticed a strange sound - a groan, that cycles with speed (wahwahwahwahwah), seeming to come from the right front wheel . . . it's suddenly gotten very cold (it didn't do this for the past two days while it was relatively warmer), and it will tend to subside with driving time, though perhaps not completely. also, if i turn right it will stop momentarily, and if it stops, it starts again if i turn left. it's not a rub . . . wondering if anyone has any immediate insights into this (ahem, cough, cough) simple, little, inexpensive (hint, hint) issue.

thanks dr z for the oxygen info . . . the count

sounds like a bearing inspection/replace/repack is in order.

Sounds like the steering knuckle bushing and axleshaft noise that lots of us have had. Do you have ADD hubs, automatic hubs, or manual hubs? I have the tools to get in there and fix it. I'd be willing to help you with it for gas money. That will be way cheaper than taking it to a shop.

What part of Colorado are you in?
