silly amsoil air filter question...

OK, got the amsoil airfilter, now which way does the thing go in? There is the coarse dark foam end and the open recesses end...

Which end faces the engine? And, when I go to wash the thing in a year or so, I just wash the whole thing?

Thanks for the input!

BS

The metal grate should be facing the windshield.

Have you thought about adding the deckplate hole? Free hp!

More info on my site in the pics & vids section.

Thanks JB... yeah I was eyeing that mod. have read a lot about it. Does it change the sound much, like the K&N did on my 94?

It gives a little more roar. It's by no means overwhelming.

Yes. No worries, it will be fine.

Hey Philly, I would clean the filter before reinstalling it...IF it has visible particles of dust and pieces of whatever. You would'nt want that stuff going in your intake...

I had mine in just a day and the airbox strengtheners dented the foam. It does make sense that the coarser foam is facing out... I had instructions but they were pretty worthless. I was a little worried that the foam dents kinda made a void that the foam didn't really fill... I'll check it in a day or two to be sure.

Thanks for the input guys!
