I need new brake pads. I had my pads replaced at 56,000 miles by the dealer, then at 66,000 miles the pads and rotors had to be replaced, now at 76,000 miles I need brakes again. I talked to the dealer and the service manager and he said that Toyota switched to a softer compound and thats why the pads go out at 10,000 miles. I need new pads and I want to know if there are any othe oads I should look at? what about rotors? I can't keep paying Toyota $200 for brake pads.

 

I find it hard to believe that the pads need to be replaced every 10K miles. Do you know youreally need new brakes or are they just telling you you do? Take it somewhere else these guys are probably trying to rip you off. I have been running the same NAPA pads for at least 70K miles.
