I have an 83 front solid axle for my sas. Its almost done but i left my tools at work to swap over the hub lockers from my ifs. Will this even work? Cant find anything on it.

 

Yeah splines are different between ifs and Solid axle

 

Ya, the inner hub gears are different but other than that the whole assembly is the same.

 

I thought the ifs hubs were shallower for some reason...

 

IFS hubs are 27 spline and solid axle hubs are 30 spline.

Davez off road sell a conversion gear that you can use to make your IFS hubs work on solid axles.

You cant use a stock solid axle hub gear in a ifs hub, because the ifs hub gears are the wrong length.
