Hey guys i couldnt find anything on this but i have a 2wd power steering box from a 94 toyota pickup . Can i use this box on my 81 4x4 to replace the manual one it looks like it mounts diffrent 2 bolts from out side frame rail and one on the top . oh by the way im putting rears up front so i have to fab up a new mount anyways . and looks like my flat tg pitman arm looks like its the same size . and slpine for the out put shaft . Any of you guys running one of these .

 

Hey man, I have the opposite scenario. I purchased a 4x4 PS box for my 2WD from EBay and I was wondering if is going to be a pita to install, may be we can trade. I have not received my shipment yet but I can let you know as soon as it arrive, you can PM if you wish....

 

i would take shank up on his deal you can put a 4wd box on a 2wd drive i believe without modification (dont quote me on that) and the same for the 2wd but il advised to put a 2wd box on a 4wd just for the fact that a 4wd has a noticably bigger output shaft than the 2wd due to stress that 4wd recieve you always could if you really wanted to, everybody said you couldnt put on a solid front axle box onto my frame but i did anyway due to lack of money
