3" SAS on 93 Pickup
Hey guys.
Winters brought a horrific squealing and squeaking to my control arm bushings. They had begun to make noise in the summer which leads me to believe they require changing. I understand this process is a PITA and would rather break a sweat on a spring SAS project.
I have a line on an 85 solid axle. That's already in the bag.
I have a 3" lift on my truck now and I'm upping my tire size to 33" as soon as a few more paychecks roll in. With this handy dandy tax return on its way, I figure it's time to get some research done.
I wish to do the swap and stay at 3". Low range offroad carries a kit for this height, and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this.
I cobbled my IFS lift together last summer and it took months to iron out all of the issues. I want to use a proper kit on this SAS to give my beloved truck the workmanship it deserves.
Any advice and suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

You'd be better off piecing stuff together somewhat, that 3" kit from Trail Gear(sold by many including LowRange) tends to end up more like 6" of lift. The springs are 3" of lift, then the front hanger provides an inch or so of lift, then the rear hangers are longer to allow the springs to flex, so they add more lift.

If you want to keep it as low as possible, RUF's are a nice option. You could get a Front Spring Hanger Kit to get the RUFF's in place and then use either ford shock towers or a tube. The nice thing about those springs is that you just mix and match until you like the height. Makes it easy to level the truck too.
