Who was in Pismo two weeks ago?

If you saw a silver 4runner out in the middle of nowhere, jacked up, with a GREASE-COATED person, that was me removing my front axle after grenading the driver-side inboard joint after jumping (the tripod joint on the inner axle ripped out of the output hub on the diff). Thanks to everyone who stopped to help. I guess the whole front diff assembly turned slightly to the left (about 1/2") now, i have no idea how, it is reinforced up the yin yang and i see no stress points on any rancho brackets, but now the new axle rubs a bit on the lower a-arm, pushes back the inner rubber boot and possibly rubs on the a-arm. wierd. time for manual hubs.

Hey Steve, glad you made it home! Like i said on the dune, if that ever happens to me, that is all the justification i need to SAS. I still havent taken apart the knuckles on the FJ since pismo, but ill bet they are full of sand from having to change the steering arms on the beach.
