Bill, glad you made it to the event.
Did you get a chance to view all the vids and pics I had linked from my page?

I had to take down most of my vids as it kept shutting down my site.
Did you see the vid Dr Z stitched together that Shane has hosted?
It's pretty good, and 25 mb big.

Unhappy Repairs

Mr Jim Dot Net Jim Bennett

Hi Guys,

I got the initial estimate today for my Pathfinder and it was $2600.00 to undo my misfortune of that weekend. It should look new again when it comes out though. Bill, you had some impressive video footage from that day. I wish my rig was not so heavy so it could land lighter like yours. The Pathfinders weigh as much as any full sized truck though at about 4500 lbs. I am happy with the way it held up though. Anyway, I am planning on joinning up with you guys again on November 30th at Evans Creek. I expect to be bringing other 4x4s too.

$2600??!! Ouch. That would buy a lot of Mini Truck. Is that for body work only? I salute you for your willingness to take dammage but I think that money could have been spent on new cool parts instead of sheetmetal and paint.

Well those Nissan parts are not cheap and they are all Nissan new parts. It would buy a lot of new accessories, that's true. I may add a ARB bumper as part of this repair though. In any case, my 1994 is in pretty new condition and when things like this happen, I try to have the work done right so that my rig stays in top shape. I rarely do not do body damage since I am so familiar with this rig and I totally know what it can and cannot do. I should have surveyed the landing zone in this case more carefully so that this could have been avoided, but hind sight is 20/20. Live and learn. Can't beat yourself up over something like this. You have to take it like a man and act like you planned it all along.
