I live about 45 minutes from there....more details as far as time and the actual date would be great! Maybe my girlfriend will tag along.
I probably won't do anything hardcore but I'd love to drive down and just check it out and maybe do some trail riding.

ya i yanked out that part about the main thread... i forgot i pm'd ya about that... Well they do have easy trails and harder ones... we could always run some easier ones for a while, then you and your g/f could hop in mine (plenty of room, and i'll give ya dibs) and we can run the hardcore trails.

That'd be sweet dude! Let me know the day and time and I'll see whats going on, as of now I don't think we have family coming in that weekend, I believe they fly in on the 19th..? I'm hoping anyway!
Thanks again man, definitely keep me posted!

I'll be there.
In addition to the Byrd's trails there are a lot of forest trails in the surrounding park. There's one that's pretty good that we "might" run on depending on how entertaining the Byrd's trails end up being. We've been down it in a bone stock CJ7 with car tires and a bone stock TJ Sahara lease vehicle. But there's enough fun stuff on the side to keep us locked up people thoroughly entertained (Especially when Cory's got it in his mind to try and break something
)

Well unfortunately I have to bow out of this trip.... getting ready to move and such, so i cant afford the time. However, others are still going, like Hans (Cargun). If anyone else wants to go, PM me and I can hook you up with the proper people! Have fun guys!

It was a good time. There were 6 built rigs that showed up in addition to mine... 2 were back on the trailer within 30 minutes! While the rest of the guys were fixing a broken axle on a 3rd rig four of us took off and ran around the area to check out the various trails. Ended up putting my truck on its side while running an obstacle course set up for people with much bigger tires. Drove out of it though and adjusted my line a little bit
I'm definitely looking forward to going back and running more of the trails... we missed some of the wheeling while scouting the area. Ended the day by trying to climb a wet and muddy rock cliff. I dented my left fender for like the 6th time as my truck came to rest on a tree with both diffs on rocks. Guess that was the wrong line to take
Tried another line and pulled the front driveshaft apart! Got the shaft back together and finally made it up. Pics to follow tomorrow.
It was a great time and this now makes the 2nd run on 36" IROKs that my stock Birfs have survived. Anyone want to take bets for the next run?
My revised (by "revised" I mean I welded the piss out of it) traction bar survived, as did the chain that holds the engine to the chassis. I think my rig is due for a little R&R. There's talk of a trip to Clayton when one of the guys I met this weekend gets his Chromo birfs.... guess I need to get to work!
