What do you think 81 4x4 $2k

81 toyota pickup truck. 22r motor, says it runs good. Has lift and 33 mud tires. Aussie Locker in rear axle and 4.11 gears. Body is rough. Guy is asking 2k OBO. Said it has some rust but overall not bad for being 31yrs old. I still need to check it out for myself but just wanted some input. I love the solid axle and 22r, wish it was fuel injected though.

Sounds high for a 30 year old truck in rough condition, but I'm not in the market for an 81. If you want it, go see it. Take a friend that doesn't have truck-goggles on. If its worth 2k to you, buy it. If not, talk him down or walk away.

2k seems like alot for a 1st gen personally i would never spend over 1k on a first gen but there abundant in my area and cheap and to lift it really not that spendy to do to a stock one just throw the rear up front and pick your choice of rear springs get some shacles and call it good did that to my borthers truck and he can clear 39's

Yea he said a few of the body mounts rusted up pretty bad. Even if I could get it for 1500 I don't want to pump money into something thats gonna rust in half.
