97 SR5...where to price (Nebraska)
I’ve had a change of plans, I just found a 2000 Runner with just over 100,000 on it and the price was right so unexpectedly I’m going to put my
97 4 runner on the market.
It’s an SR5 4 wheel drive, auto, sunroof, NO elocker, power windows, cloth seats, with 262000 miles on it. It is currently my daily driver. I bought this vehicle with 110000 on it in 2003 so I’ve put 152,000 on the runner.
I was 53 years old when I got this 4runner and my hard driving days are pretty much in the past. However, I live in the country, so the 4wheel drive has been used, in snow, mud, and sand. It’s also been driven on gravel roads daily. I’m a photographer and this vehicle was used to transport clients to and from locations so I’ve always kept it as clean as possible for someone living in the country.
It’s had regular maintenance at a dealership (I’m not too handy with wrenches and I have a really good mechanic there).
Front end rebuild: lower ball joints, two reman front axles, reman rack and pinion 257,356 mi
Timing belt, water pump, idlers, thermostat 245,500 mi
Plugs 244,449 mi
Alternator ….. can’t find the ticket on that but during the past 24 months
Engine runs good. Oil has been changed every 4000 miles since I’ve owned it. Oil used is Toyota 5-30W. Does not use oil between changes.
Usually get between 17 and 19mpg with a 20 once in awhile.
Comments:
Drivers side seat is worn, not in good shape at all. Back of passenger seat has some stains on it.
Capet is good. Some scuffing in the rear compartment from hauling stuff.
Paint is in pretty good shape but there are some chips here and there from gravel roads.
Windshield has a small crack in the center that’s been stopped. Rust wise there’s a little surface rust on the back end where the gravel off the rear tires has hit the chrome.
Wheels are pitted from gravel. Underneath there is only surface rust and not a whole lot of that.
Any ideas on where to price this. I checked KBB that ranged from $4844 to $3819
