I am thinking of buying 1999 4-Runner. The dealer changed the water pump and timing belt, the air is cold the heat works, all door locks, windows, rear window, sunroof all work, paint is fair, tires good, brakes 50%, but the miles are scary 160K...It drove pretty well and the 4 wheel drive engaged fine...but the miles scare me. They want $9,000. It this to many miles and should I stay clear or can this thing go
for a few more years??? I don't want the Tranny or motor to crap out on me in a week.

Help please!!!

 

its just broken in, thats not many miles at all.

 

depends where you are from too, and what engine is it, and is it a standard or auto.

Shop around, you could probably find a better deal somewhere else

 

If you can I would buy from a private seller. Dealerships add alot to the price. From a private seller you could probably get the same vehicle for $5-$6000
