Recreation Tip
Fall is a shoulder season, which means trails are more likely to be wet and muddy.
Consider avoiding muddy trails, and wait until they are dry or completely covered in snow.
If you do come across mud on a trail-- don't walk or drive around it-- doing so can widen the trail or create unwanted paths.
