twin stick to use low range without locking center dif.

I can't find anything related to this anywhere. I have seen a twin stick set up for early Tacomas. I have a manual FJ Cruiser and would like to be able to run low range without locking the center dif. Does anybody now how this transfer shifts?

my understanding locking the central diff gives you full time 4wd, no just all wheel drive. to get low range you need to twin stick the tcase.... so no i'm betting it wont work.

What I mean is I would like to shift to low range but without locking up the center dif. I used to have an 03 Tacoma with the push button on the transfer lever so I could run in 2WD low range by disconnecting the connector on the transfer. It worked great on some trails where I needed a lower speed but didn't need 4WD.
