Considering a tech article on lighting...

Looking to gauge the interest of people for a full tech how-to article on how to source, wire, fabricate and install a high performance light bar on the roof of our FJ's...

I am new to the forum, but active on others and have looked around quite a bit and not found a specific "Pull panel "A" and anchor 10 gauge wire to tab on left" type of tutorial for how to integrate an aftermarket light bar.

I have sourced the new Air Dam light switches through Toyota of El Cajon who have participated pretty heavily with me on getting the project done right, and they needed to go to the installation port to get the actual part numbers since they are not in the catalog.

I am planning on building the hell out of my FJ, and would be happy to share the info as it comes along for the different parts.

Let me know if there is any interest in this mod and I will do what I can to make it a tutorial.

Wes

Hey Wes what you should do is pm this to Corey. I'm sure the FJ members would be very interested in a blow by blow tutorial as would others who could adapt the inst. for their own rigs...
Thanks for the offer aviator

Sound like a good article we could use.

The pics should be 640x480, and I can add it to both the Wiki and the tech write-up section.

Will do then. Just got the harness numbers and the switch numbers for this deal and will be tearing it all apart when my truck gets back from paint.

Did you go and change colors?
If so, I know a few now who have done that.

No, I just hate the two tone roof, so I got it shot silver right away. I am doing All-Pro front and rear bumpers with rock sliders as well, but they are going to be powdercoated silver with the roof rack and some light housings I am doing.
