Anyone damage/remove their oem accessory skid plate?

This is a follow-up to my earlier post asking for help with the front aluminum accessory skid plate. I bought one of these a few weeks back from a a guy on Craigslist- it appeared to have all the necessary mounting hardware, but I realized later that he had not included the two front mounting brackets that bolt between the vehicle frame and skid plate. I contacted the guy, who said he must have left the brackets on the vehicle he removed it from, but had no way of tracking it down (shady, I know). Anyway, I did some research and found out that Toyota does not sell the brackets separately as replacements- they only come as part of the skid plate kit.

So, what I'm hoping to find is someone who has damaged or otherwsie removed one of these skid plates from their FJ, but might still have the mounting brackets. Just for clarification, the plate I'm talking about is not one of the stock black skid plates- it's the optional accessory aluminum one.

Any help in finding me a pair of those brackets would be greatly appreciated!!!

They are not that complicated, simple z angles. I'd be glad to get the dimensions for you. Fabbing them should be pretty simple.

I'm in the same boat. Ordered the OEM Skid Plate for my '07 FJ Cruiser (on eBay) and didn't get the mounting brackets.

Dimensions would be awesome.

I purposefully did not order a factory skid plate for my FJ, it looks like it's make from a pop can, I can't see how it would protect anything accept maybe from tall grass. Scrap that POS and get one from All Pro Offroad. Can't beat the 1/4" steel, I've had mine scrape on the rocks and hold the front of the vehicle off the ground. While you are there, scrap the plastic bumper and get their high clearance front winch mount bumper, AWSOME!!!
