Factory Tow Package include wiring for electric brake?

I'm buying a travel trailer & need to add electric brakes. My '98 has the factory tow package, but so far I'm not finding the round 7-pin wiring connector which I expected - I'm told if I find that, then I already have the under-dash wiring needed for electric brakes, otherwise it's either big bucks to pay someone or do it myself. Naturally my preferred outcome is, it came with the tow package.

Anyone know if the 1998 SR5 with tow package, should have come with this wiring from the factory?

I very well could be wrong, but I don't recall any Toyota getting the round 7-pin from the factory until the Tundra was released. Up to that point everything was the flat four.

I dont think the tow package then included trailer brake wiring.. usually just things like lower axle gears and a class 3 hitch.

Etrailer is great for parts: Looks like they have a universal harness. https://www.etrailer.com/Electrical?...RoCl5IQAvD_BwE

May want to also look into a transmission cooler if the truck doesn't have one already.

Thanks - I'll check them out. I'll take a look to verify the transmission cooler, seems like I found one when I bought the truck & changed fluid around 18 months ago.

hope it's a very light trailer, even with a 3.4 it's gonna be gutless...
