Continuing my build soon.
Well, hello all you yota lovers. I've been working on a temporary winter work space as my garage won't be started till spring of 2021 now. I could have it this year if a certain unnamed asshat would keep their word. I digress. Back to the topic at hand. My truck is a 97 SR5 excab. White and silver two tone. The body is from Florida and has only a few hail dings in the roof and a couple in the tops of the front quarter panels. The hood was the worst damaged so I replaced it. I'm currently replacing the entire wiring harness and I do mean the ENTIRE harness, as well as the solinoids in the transmission. I have so many custom plans for it that I will be working on through the whole winter. I actually need the truck for winter but don't want to drive it in the Michigan salt and sand covered deer infested countryside I live in. I was recently challenged by another nation member to retro fit the truck with the 3rd gen headlights and grill, so that is among the custom plans. Truck has 211.000 on the clock and still rides like a dream. After the new Gabriel gas high lift shocks. I'm adding another spring to the rear to get a little more load hauling ability. Added on board air, building slide out tool box behind rear custom made bumper of my own design, not as easy as I thought it would be of course but nothing ever is when fabricating is involved. LoL. I hit a small deer with it right after lifting it, first trip out on the road. Damnit man!! It of course wasted the new front factory bumper and valance panel, so now I'm building a new custom bumper and want to use a new factory valance on it. Lots of other mods over the winter, too many to list but not giving up on her. Just thought I'd update my progress to document it. Taking pics along the way but it looks like a heap at the moment torn to pieces so I will post them after I get more done to show the direction of the build. Thank you to everyone for your support and boost kick in the back side to keep me going. Be safe and happy travels to you all. Post again soon. RAM.
